Each box of Eye Magic contains 64 strips (a one month supply with daily use).

Anyone with drooping eyelids and deep-set eyes should see an improvement with Eye Magic, and in many cases the improvement is dramatic. People with very small eyelids or eyelids that are very large (out-set or “prominent”) may or may not see an improvement.

Most of our customers use Eye Magic daily to correct droopy eyelids, eliminating that “tired” look. Some customers use it only for special occasions. Eye Magic is used by executives who want to look younger and more alert for corporate photos, and by photographers and make-up artists who want to make their clients look younger and brighter. Several of our customers have used Eye Magic on occasion to change the shape of the upper lids for a more dramatic look!

Eye Magic is a temporary fix for drooping eyelids, lasting as long as the strips are on the eyelids. The product was designed for daily use to act as a substitute for surgery. Even eyelid surgery does not offer permanent results.

If you follow the Eye Magic directions properly, the strips will not fall off. One side of the strip is extremely sticky and a gel is included to apply first, allowing you to move the strips around. You can take them on and off and readjust them until they are positioned properly. Once you’re happy with the placement of the strips, leave them where they are and they will set in place after about a minute or two and stay in place for an entire day (about 12-18 hours).

Yes, you can wear Eye Magic with contact lenses. Since drooping eyelid skin tends to sit on top of the eyeball, and Eye Magic lifts the skin off of that area, many of our customers report increased comfort while wearing contact lenses when Eye Magic is used.

Eye Magic customers regularly send us emails about how many compliments they receive from friends, co-workers, and family after using our product. We have found that not only can the product reduce the tired, heavy look associated with sagging eyelids, but takes 10-15 years off your look in many cases.

Yes, you can use Eye Magic if your eyelids are still visible! The idea is to lift the drooping eyelid area (even slightly) and restore it to a curved shape. The Eye Magic strips are very thin, translucent, and have a hypoallergenic (very sticky) adhesive on one side. The gel that is applied to the adhesive allows the strips to be removed and reapplied as many times as necessary to achieve the right positioning. Once you’re happy with the result, the strips will “set” in a minute or so and stay put.

Yes! In fact, many of our customers are men. If your father has heavy eyelids that are obscuring his vision, Eye Magic seems to alleviate this issue for most people. If he is older and his eyelid skin is thinner (as happens when you age), be sure to follow the directions and remove the eyelid strips slowly and carefully.

Yes. The Eye Magic strips are clear when applied, so the color of your eyelid will show through. If you have dark skin, the color of your skin will show through. If you have eye shadow on your lids, the color of the eye shadow will show through.

The Eye Magic strips are coated with a medical grade, hypoallergenic adhesive. The gel is petrolatum based and is applied over the adhesive which retains the strong adhesion but also allows them to be applied and reapplied in the application process, without loss of adhesion or too much pulling on the skin. Since the adhesive is hypoallergenic, it should not irritate the skin. If the skin on the eyelid becomes irritated, we advise our customers to discontinue use. As noted above, the gel contains a petroleum product. If you are sensitive or allergic to petroleum based products you should not use Eye Magic. The product does not contain latex.

Note: we now offer our innovative Easy Lift “Butterfly” double eyelid lift. This two-sided adhesive product is invisible when used correctly.

What is typically referred to as “double eyelid tape” is a product specifically designed to create a crease for Asian eyes that do not have one, forming a visible lid when the eyes are open, thus the name “double eyelid tape”. Generally, double eyelid tapes are small crescents made from a stiff plastic material with adhesive on one or both sides, often with an embossed pattern on the top. To create the double eyelid look, the tape must be strong enough to create a crease against the resistance of the smooth skin toward the back of the eyelid. Eye Magic acts as a new layer of skin securing the skin in place and keeping it from sagging forward. Eye Magic can smooth and define the top curve of the eyelid while holding the skin in place.

Yes. Eye Magic is an effective substitute for blepharoplasty, or upper eyelid surgery. The only way to achieve the same effect without surgery, is to add external physical support to replace the breakdown of the underlying collagen structure, which is the reason skin sags.. Eyelid lift creams promise to revitalize this underlying collagen support structure with consistent use, which is a myth. Collagen production is an internal systemic process that is not affected by topical eye lift creams. Some firming eye lift creams can temporarily plump the skin around the eyes, giving the skin a smoother appearance, but no “eye lifting cream” is strong enough to hold the skin back or repair the breakdown of the underlying collagen structure.

How well the strips resist water and sweat depends on the type of skin you have and how much you sweat.  If your skin is oily, the strips will not stay adhered as well as they will on dryer, less oily skin.  If you sweat a lot. the strips may tend to whiten.  To find out, you can test them in a scenario where you’re hot and sweating (like working out) to know what happens with your skin.

This varies from person to person. A person whose eyelids tend to remain dry can wear them longer than a person whose eyelids are moist. Some Eye Magic users leave them on overnight and some remove them before bed. We recommend that they be removed before bed or if they cause discomfort at any time.

Many Eye Magic users have reported to us that they have no difficulty with the application at all. Others report that at first they had difficulty with the application, but after becoming familiar with the characteristics of the strips and in particular the placement of the strips on the eyelid, it becomes as easy as any other make-up application. The old adage “practice makes perfect” certainly applies here. The strips can be put on and removed a number of times so you can experiment to find the perfect position on your upper lids.

Yes, definitely. Apply your make-up as you usually do. Then put the gel on the strips (a very small amount, just enough to cover the sticky side of the strip) and place the Eye Magic eye lift strips on your eyelids over your makeup in the best position for you.

This suggestion from Annie in Las Vegas: I got 2 boxes and you can put eye shadow over the plastic strip, after smearing a little of the gel which is petroleum wax on top (not just underneath on sticky side) of strip.

The wax helps the shadow color adhere well on top of the strip. Got idea from an eye shadow kit that included a side section of “wax” alongside the color.

Yes, eye shadow can be used with the product, but we suggest that you become comfortable applying the product first before using eye shadow. We also recommend that you start by putting the eye shadow under the brow bone and not on the eyelid. When you are proficient with the application and are ready to apply the product over eye shadow on the lid, apply your make-up as you usually do. Then put the gel on the strips (a very small amount, just enough to cover the sticky side of the strip with a thin film) and place the Eye Magic strips on your eyelids over the eye shadow in the best position for you.

Powder eyeshadow won’t stick to the strip. If you use powder eye shadow, put the shadow on first and apply the strip over it (see previous question). The color will show through. If the shadow wears off around it, touch it up. You can also apply the strips without shadow on your eyelids but instead put the eye shadow back behind them in the hollow under the brow bone to accent your eye. Or you can do both. Some types of cream eye shadow will adhere to the strips and you can rub cream shadow color into the strips while they’re still on the backing to color them. You can then place them over the same shadow already applied to the lids. Testing and user experiences have shown that putting the strips over the makeup works best. People amaze us with the creative ways they use makeup, though so we encourage you to experiment. Keep in mind it usually takes some experimenting to learn where to place the strips on your eyelid correctly in the beginning. We recommend that you first start without makeup, get comfortable with the product and then see what works best for you with makeup. I wouldn’t use eye shadow when first learning to use it as you’ll probably put it on and take it off a number of times before you’re satisfied with the results. I’ve done it every way you can with good results.

If the strip is visible, it’s possible you are not putting it back far enough on your lid. You’ll know if you’ve put it back too far because your lid will flip up. If you put it as far back as it can go and you can still see the strip, you can use makeup to camouflage it. It’s also possible you don’t have enough eyelid surface for Eye Magic to work effectively.

It’s possible the strips are buckling because they’re too long for the width of your eye. Try snipping the ends off after you remove each strip from the backing. This will not reduce the effectiveness of the strip and should prevent buckling if the length is interfering with the adhesion. Another possibility is that you’re putting too much gel on the strips. You only need a tiny amount, just enough to cover the sticky side of the strips with a thin layer, just a film. Try not to get any gel on the non-sticky side. Then, once in place, give the strips a minute or so to set so they adhere well. I often pat the strips lightly with my fingertips a few times over a minute or so until they are firmly adhered to my lids. It’s a very dry process with no excess gel or moisture anywhere.

We do not recommend using moisturizer on your eyelid before you apply Eye Magic. Moisturizers often contain irritants that might cause redness or irritate your lids when using our product. Put moisturizer only on the skin above your eyelids, between your lid and eye brow.

Adding the gel to the adhesive before you apply the strips makes it easier to remove them. The strip will loosen and then you can peel it off easily after a day’s wear. The strips are a bit harder to remove after only a few hours of wear but the process is the same. You just peel them off a bit more slowly since the adhesive will stick more tightly than at the end of the day.  If you have any problems removing the strips, use an oil-based eye makeup remover.  This is dissolves the adhesive and the strips will practically fall off.

The gel is soft like a cream, remains soft, is colorless and can be removed with soap and warm water or any makeup remover. You can’t see the residue left after removing the strips and sometimes it feels a little sticky. Albolene makeup remover works well and is available in most drugstores. Any makeup remover will work,

If used properly, Eye Magic is not likely to cause additional stretching of the eyelid skin. The gel that is included with the product is applied to the strips before placing them on your lids, allowing the strips to be removed with minimal pulling after a day’s use. Oil-based eye makeup remover can also be used to remove the strips at any time without pulling on the skin.

We get numerous inquiries from people who ask if Eye Magic can help with eyelid drooping that is caused by nerve or muscle dysfunction. Eye Magic is not designed to fix nerve or muscle dysfunction, however in some cases, Eye Magic has offered improvement for these types of conditions. The product essentially holds the skin on the upper portion of the lid in place, keeping it from sagging down toward the lashes. This is accomplished by adding support at the top of the lid (where the lid meets the brow bone). There is a fold line on the eyelid, usually found higher up on the lid, that the strip is placed over which keeps the skin in place. If you have an eye related medical condition we recommend consulting with your doctor before use.

We have customers with myasthenia gravis and other eye conditions who have found a way to improve the look of their eyes with Eye Magic. Eyelid dysfunction creates varying problems with the eyes and sometimes Eye Magic offers an improvement and sometimes not, depending on the issue.

Eye Magic is designed to hold sagging skin in place, keeping loose skin from drooping forward. If your left eye is drooping due to the weight of the skin pushing down on it, Eye Magic will probably be of help. If the problem is caused by muscle or nerve dysfunction however, Eye Magic won’t solve that problem.

No, probably not, but there may be exceptions.  The adhesive is hypoallergenic.
