The Surgical OptionBlepharoplasty (Greek: blepharon, “eyelid” + plassein “to form”) is the plastic surgery operation for correcting defects, deformities, and disfigurations of the eyelids; and for aesthetically modifying the eye region of the face. With the excision and the removal, or the repositioning (or both) of excess tissues, such as skin and adipocyte fat, and the reinforcement of the corresponding muscle and tendon tissues, the blepharoplasty procedure resolves functional and cosmetic problems of the periorbita, which is the area from the eyebrow to the upper portion of the cheek. The procedure is more common among women, who accounted for approximately 85% of blepharoplasty procedures in 2014 in the USA and 88% of such procedures in the UK. If you are interested in blepharoplasty strictly for cosmetic reasons, then your doctor likely will advise you to keep expectations realistic. While cosmetic procedures can sometimes dramatically improve appearance, they are not the ultimate Fountain of Youth. The aging process will continue and — as with any cosmetic procedure — your improved appearance due to an eye lift will not last indefinitely. And at some point in the future, you might want to consider repeating the procedure. What Does Eyelid Surgery Cost? Blepharoplasty cost varies, depending on where you live, the surgeon, the facility where the surgery is performed and the extent of eyelid surgery you need. Prices for an eye lift range from about $2,000 for a simple procedure, to $5,000 for a more complicated one. These are estimates of surgeon’s fees only. Charges for an ambulatory surgery facility or in-office operating suite are additional and can range from $800 to $2,000 per procedure.  *Portions Credit Wikipedia

Eyelid Droop

Eyelid drooping is a common issue among aging men and women, many of whom opt for cosmetic surgery to correct the problem.

Before we developed the original Eye Magic®, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) was the only option.

With time, upper eyelids start to sag as muscles lose their elasticity. This is called Ptosis. Eye injuries, neurologic problems, and diseases such as neuromuscular disorder myasthenia gravis or even diabetes can bring on ptosis. Injections, used to eliminate wrinkles at the brow and forehead, may also cause temporary drooping (the problem can last for months, so it may not feel temporary).
